Walter Woods, Jr.

Walter Kenton Woods Jr, of Livonia, passed away January 26, 2026, at Trinity Health Livonia Hospital with his family by his side. He was born September 4,1954, to Walter Sr. and Wanda (Adkins) Woods. Loving husband to Leticia Woods. Dear father to Christian Woods and Angelica (Ben) Vanderlaan. Beloved brother of John (Sorita) and Timothy (Claire) Burrell; and cherished dog-grandpa to Zeus. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Walter was predeceased by his parents; his grandparents Sherman and Hazel; and his beloved dog Hazel.

Above all else, Walter, born in Kingsport, Tennessee, and a proud Georgia Tech alum, was a devoted family man whose family was his pride and joy. He loved fiercely and showed up faithfully, and his love, values, service and presence will continue to live on through his family and loved ones. He found passion and joy in cars, tennis, travel, Gospel music, gardening and animals - especially time spent with his late beloved German Shepherd, Hazel - and he applied his passion for cars throughout his long career in quality engineering at Roush Performance.

Services for Walter will be held Friday, January 30 at 1:30PM at Neely-Turowski Funeral Home, 30200 Five Mile Road, Livonia, MI 48154. Interment will follow at Parkview Memorial Cemetery.
