Life Story / Obituary
Thomas R. Koths of Canton, Michigan died November 12, 2020. He was born June 20, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan.
Tom worked at Michelin Tire for 10 years as a Field Engineer and was their top accident and reconstruction investigator. Due to all the travel requirements for this job he decided that family and friends were more important and moved on to being a small business owner running Es’Teem Cleaners for 19 years.
He had a love for woodworking. With his sons, he created many things for his home and place of business. One of his many hobbies was building radio-controlled airplanes.
Tom had a passion for doing things in the “Great Outdoors”. Boating, fishing, and camping with friends and family, especially his sons, gave him the most enjoyment.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Lynn [Halik] and sons, Ryan (Barbra) and Randy (Penny). He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Anna [Vrona] Koths. Thomas was the dearest “Pops” of Paul (Sarah Underwood), Kaity (Patrick Kinnamon), and David. Survived also by his dear brothers, Arnold (Debbie) and David (Linda), dear sister, Betty Ann Tamberino. Thomas is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
Per Thomas’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life is being planned for in the future. Memorial contributions may be directed to the ASPCA
