Thomas A. Ferko, of Canton, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 14, 2024 at the age of 84. He was born October 30, 1940 in Homestead, Pennsylvania to Andrew and Julianne (Plesniak) Ferko. Tom proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. Beloved husband of Judy for 59 wonderful years. Loving dad of Victoria (Kevin) Rennells and Susan (Wayne) Sourbeck. Proud grandfather (Pops) of Henry (fiancée Maggie Lloyd) Rennells, Dennis Rennells, Kylie Sourbeck and Lauren Sourbeck. He is also survived by his two sisters, Rosemary (William) Trappen and Felicia (John) Capan, as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and nephew, Andrew Trappen. Pops loved spending time with his family and proudly attended hundreds of baseball, soccer and musical events. He was a gifted aircraft mechanic and perpetual motion enthusiast. He had a great love for his family and will be missed by all.

A funeral service will take place Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 11:00 am (visitation at 10:00 am) at St. Michael Lutheran Church of Canton, 7000 Sheldon Road, Canton, MI 48187. Interment with military honors will take place Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 10:30 am at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI 48442. Memorial contributions can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or to St. Michael Lutheran Church.
