Sylvia Eleanor Davis

Sylvia was born on August 24, 1929, in Inkster, Michigan. Her parents were Peter Paul Haas and Frances Agnes Felczak. Her stepfather was Oren Lee Blunt. Siblings Pauline, Robert< William, June, and James. She graduated from Western High School in Detroit. Sylvia and Thomas Jay Davis, Jr. were married in 1951. They had four daughters: Claudia Warren, Judy (Everett) Keyes, Wendy (Kurt) Therrien, and Charlotte Knight; five grandchildren: Jasen, Scott, Dan, Brittney, and Jacob and five great-grandchildren: Carter, Cooper, Annie, Alice, and Avery.

A longtime resident of Livonia, Sylvia loved her children, clean home, being outside gardening, listening to the birds and nature. There was a special innocence and sweetness about her. She spent part of her childhood growing up in Tawas City, Michigan, and cherished and shared those memories including walking down the country roads, enjoying the wildflowers, and attending the one room schoolhouse. Proud of her Polish heritage, she made excellent stuffed cabbage and other Polish dishes.

We miss you so much with our broken hearts, but we know you are at peace> Please watch over us with your constant caring as you always have. We pray for you to find the peace and rest you so deserve. Thank you for sharing your beautiful love with us. We were and still are truly inspired and blessed. You will forever and ever be in our hearts.

Sylvia wished to be in her longtime home till she passed away on October 26, 2022 and was laid to rest at Grand Lawn Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan.
