Sue Ruggiero

Suzanne “Sue” Ruggiero age 63, of South Lyon, Michigan passed away March 3, 2023. She was born to Patrick and Ruth Ruggiero on April 8, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan. A twin sister to Kathy Hellen and older sister to Patrick (Gretchen), Tony (Lois), Karen and Michael (Brooke) Ruggiero. Sue grew up surrounded by cousins who were as close as siblings.

In her younger years, Sue lived in Redford, Michigan with her parents and siblings. As a youth she attended Bishop Borgess High School. Sue welcomed her first daughter, Teri (Kurt) Jubenville, into the world in 1982 and her second daughter, Kelly Ann, in 1983. She welcomed her only son, Chris (Ashleigh) Munsie in 1990. Sue’s first grandchild, Hayden, was welcomed into the world by Teri and Kurt Jubenville in 2008, followed by the birth of her first granddaughter Ashlyn in 2016, and her youngest grandson, Noah in 2020. Sue spent the majority of her career proudly working for AAA, where she recently retired from.

Sue can be described by her friends and family as thoughtful and witty. Sue loved her kids with all her heart; her grandkids were the light of her life and were spoiled beyond belief. She enjoyed spending her time bowling and having brunch and lunch dates with her beloved friends. Her quiet evenings at home were spent working on crosswords and other favorite word games. Her children find comfort knowing their mom has been reunited with their sister Kelly Ann Vargo, and their grandparents Patrick and Ruth Ruggiero. Sue was dearly loved by many and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Visitation Friday, March 10, 2023 3:00-8:00pm at Neely-Turowski Funeral Home, 30200 Five Mile Rd., Livonia, Michigan 48154. Additional visitation Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 9:00 am until time of funeral service at 10:00 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The PKD Foundation- Polycystic Kidney Disease.
