Life Story / Obituary
Sharon A. Hess, of Livonia passed away July 17, 2026 surrounded by family and friends. She was born May 25, 1964, to Robert and Rita Hess. A graduate of Grand Blanc High School, Sharon continued her education with a bachelor’s in business administration from University of Michigan. Shortly after she moved to the Livonia area where she resided for the remainder of her life.
Loving mother of Natalie Hess, soul sister of Rhonda Hodges, cherished aunt of Iris Wiegenstein, dear cousin of Cynthia Wiegenstein, Mark Wiegenstein, Barbara Allegranzi, Paula Voorhees. She is also survived by extended family members, and her tribe of friends who have stood by her every joy and tribulation. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Rita Hess and her Uncle John Wiegenstein.
Sharon was a loving daughter, caring friend and neighbor, and devoted mother, who enjoyed volunteering, traveling, yoga and pilates, movies, art shows, and any activity that allowed her to meet new people and spend time with those she loved. Sharon will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Memorial visitation for Sharon will be Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 3-7pm at Neely-Turowski Funeral Home, 30200 Five Mile Road, Livonia, MI 48154. Gathering of family and friends 10:30am Friday, August 7, 2026 until the time of Memorial service at 11:00 am at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 9020 S Saginaw Rd. Grand Blanc, MI 48439, with lunch to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Kirk Gibson Center.
