Robert Oaks

Robert Boyer Oaks, 82, passed away April 21, 2020. He was born to Howard and Margaret Oaks on September 21, 1937, in Detroit, MI. Beloved husband of Nancy (McSweeney) Oaks for 58 years. Cherished father of Kathleen (James) Wagner, Maureen (Michael) Donahue, Robert Oaks, Margaret Brink and Terrence (Jessica) Oaks. Cherished grandfather of Alyssa (Sam) Jabara, Shelby, Timothy, Lindsey, the late James Wagner, Benjamin and the late Jacob Brink, Troy and late Addison Donahue, Nathaniel and Lilian Oaks. Dearest big brother of the late Nancy Vinton and dear uncle to James (Tina) Vinton. Survived by many dear sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Bob graduated from Cooley High School in 1955; proudly served in the U.S. Army; retired from Eppert Oil Company in 2001 and enjoyed a wonderful retirement in the beautiful thumb of Michigan. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in his honor at a later date. Donations can be made to Angela Hospice, The Capuchins or Alzheimer’s Association.
