Richard C. Shuler

Richard C. Shuler of Canton, Michigan passed away May 20, 2022 at the age of 88. He was born February 17, 1934 in Flint, Michigan to Charles and Catherine Shuler. Richard proudly served in the US Army and the Coast Guard Reserves. Beloved husband of Vickie. Loving father of Debbie (Craig) Cormier, Sandra Randolph, Richard (Tammy), John (Nicole), Brandy (Kevin) Jabkiewicz and Krista. Richard is survived by two of his six siblings, Donna Shelenhamer and Betty Tucker. He was predeceased by his siblings Norma Herweyer, Walter, Clara Vlassis, and Donald. Richard had many loving nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was an accomplished engineer, working on many projects, including Comerica Park and Ford Field. Richard was an avid outdoorsman, who loved camping, hunting, and fishing.

A memorial visitation will take place Friday, May 27, 2022 from 10 am until time of memorial service at 12 noon at Neely-Turowski Funeral Home, 45100 Warren Rd., Canton, Michigan 48187. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Special Olympics of Michigan - PC Stars. (see below for more information)
