Raymond S. Bauer

BAUER, RAYMOND “RAY” SEBASTIAN, age 83, of Livonia, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022. Ray was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 13, 1938, to parents Sebastian and Elizabeth (Szymanski) Bauer. Loving husband of the late Marianne for 19 wonderful years; dear father of Tammy Weyer, Dawn Bauer, and his cat, Mango. Ray was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Arnold Bauer. Ray will be remembered as an avid Pinochle player, playing more than three times a week at the senior center, even learning to take the bus once he was no longer driving. Ray was also a devoted Detroit Tigers fan, he loved to listen to them on the radio and kept his own stats. Ray’s family was very important to him, he looked forward to every family gathering and loved the quality time and good food, especially Cheryl’s stuffed cabbage. Ray was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Parish for many years and attended mass regularly. Ray adored all of his pets, Scooby, Blackie, Brownie, Katie, Frosty, and Romeo. The Bauer family will accept visitors on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Neely-Turowski Funeral Home (30200 Five Mile Road Livonia, Michigan 48154) beginning from 3:00pm until 8:00pm. A funeral service will take place on Friday, May 13, 2022, at St. Michael the Archangel Parish (11441 Hubbard, Livonia, MI 48150) at 10:30am with instate at 10am. Burial to take place at St. Hedwig Cemetery following the service. Ray was loved by many and will be missed deeply.
