Pamela Huber, 68, passed away peacefully at her home on December 18, 2023, with her husband Richard, the love of her life, by her side.

Born on January 22, 1955 to her loving mother Dorothy, Pamela’s early years were spent surrounded by her five siblings, Ken, Diana, Brenda, Robyn, Tracey and her dog, Patches. Being a middle child, she always joked that she was quiet and reserved because she couldn’t get a word in edge wise when the rest of her siblings talked.

Pamela’s journey began at 17 years old when she saw her soon to be husband walk into her work to which she quickly told her friend “I’m going to marry that man” and that’s exactly what she did. One of her favorite stories to tell was about their first date. They were going out for burgers and she told Rick that she didn’t eat cheese. He proceeded to buy her a cheeseburger. She didn’t let that stand in her way, though. She married her husband, Richard Huber, on September 22nd, 1973 and they spent the next 50 years together. The years brought a lot of happiness and pain but their love for one another stayed strong. A milestone most don’t achieve. Her life became an embodiment of love, not only for her husband but also for her beloved children, Christina and Scott, her adored grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Brett, Linzey, Amber, Brandon, and Logan, and her treasured great grandson, Oliver.

Pamela had many passions. She loved to crochet and would gift personalized blankets to everyone expecting a new baby. Blankets that we all still have and cherish to this day. Whether making a new blanket, spending time at the zoo, camping with her husband and grandkids, bird watching from her kayak, or baking everything from banana bread to wedding cakes, she moved through life with a gentle determination. She even decided to get her associates in business later in life from Schoolcraft college to further her career as an accountant.

Pamela’s life was a collection of chapters that told a story of dedication, love, and kindness. She is survived by her husband, Richard; daughter, Christina; her siblings, Diana, Robyn, and Tracey; her seven grandchildren, great grandson and her two precious kitties. She now joins her beloved son, Scott, her brother, Ken, and her sister, Brenda, in eternal rest.

A visitation to celebrate and remember Pamela will be held on Thursday, December 21st, 2023 at Turowski Life Story Funeral Home 45100 Warren Rd., Canton. MI 48187. She will be laid to rest at Glen Eden Memorial Park surrounded by her loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Heart-to-Heart Hospice. An organization that made it possible for Pamela to spend her last days at home surrounded by family.
