Nora Byrne died peacefully on August 9th surrounded by family. Nora was born in Detroit on December 24, 1936. She was raised in Highland Park by her parents, Sam and Lucy Camilleri. After graduating high school from St. Benedict in Highland Park, she went on to attend the University of Detroit. While at the University of Detroit, Nora was active in several organizations including the Sodality of Our Blessed Lady. A devout Catholic, Nora taught elementary school at Our Lady of Loretto where she met her late husband of 58 years, Donald R. Byrne. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles. Nora was a loving mother to Timothy, Patrick (Laura), Michael (Lisa), Mary (Bill) Lamb, Kathleen (Michael) Collins, and the late Therese. She was the dear grandmother of Finnian, Nefen, Abigail, Quentin, Adeline, Ava, James Dagostino, Jon Lamb, Sara Lamb, Allison (Cyler) Rea, Michael Collins, Emily Collins, Claire Collins, Anne Collins, Matthew Collins, Samantha Collins, Kate Collins, and Miles Collins.
