Michael Sitko

Michael Peter Sitko, 92, passed away March 15, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Dolores of 54 years. Cherished father of Kathi (Paul) Shelor. Dearest grandfather of Melissa Biss. Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. A longtime resident of Detroit. Retired after thirty-five years at the Detroit Water Board. Michael was an active scuba diver with Great Lakes Aquanauts for many years. He was a volunteer with the Spirit of Detroit Boat Races. He was a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, NRA and the VFW. He loved fishing, hunting and animals. A private visitation and funeral service will be held at Neely-Turowski Funeral Home, 30200 Five Mile Road (between Middlebelt Rd. and Merriman Rd.), Livonia. Private interment at St. Hedwig Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Ashley Court of Brighton.
