Beloved husband of Florence. Loving father of Paula (Louie) Dorka, Carol (Stanley) Hurst, and Chrstine Christ. Dearest grandfather of Linda (Scott) Vermillion, David Dorka, and Erin and Michael Hirst. Dear great-grandfather of Jessica, Amanda, and Emma Vermillion.

Michael was a Proud and Decorated Veteran earning the Purple Heart Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with Four Bronze Campaign Stars, American Theater Ribbon, and Good Conduct Medal.
