Mark Curtin

Mark Curtin, longtime resident of Redford, MI passed away March 14, 2025 at the age of 75. He was born November 16, 1949 in Dearborn, MI to John and Margaret Curtin.

Mark was known for his unyielding spirit and zest for life. He began his journey as a hockey goalie at Detroit Catholic Central and continued to excel at the University of Detroit. His passion for the game didn’t stop there; Mark went on to coach hockey at various levels, including Ladywood High School’s very first hockey team. He was a tireless supporter of sports, especially the Red Wings and the Tigers, and devoted many weekends to following MSU basketball and Middlebury hockey, where his son Scot proudly played.

When he wasn’t on the rink, you could find Mark enjoying a good fishing trip or playing softball with friends. He had a knack for bringing people together and creating lasting memories.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Curtin. Dear father of Erin Curtin and Scot (Tara) Curtin. Beloved grandfather of Aidan and Brady. Brother of John (Penny), Kimberlee, Maureen, Chris (Helen) and Brian (Michelle). Uncle of Jonathan, Joe, Brook, Sarah, Allison, Kate and Danielle. Great uncle of many. Brother-in-law of Candy (Rich) Rosowski, and Peggy (Jerry) Poisson.

Visitation, Tuesday, March 18, 2025, 3 pm - 8 pm, rosary 7pm, Neely Turowski Funeral Home 30200 Five Mile Road, Livonia. Instate, Wednesday, March 19, 2025 10:00 am until the time of Mass at 10:30 am, St. Valentine Catholic Church 14841 Beech Daly, Redford Township.
