Mario A. Bacero of Redford Township passed away March 27, 2025 at the age of 72. He was born in Roxas City, Philippines to Ricardo and Adelina Bacero. Beloved husband of Maria Luisa. Loving father of Bernadette (Arthur Newman) Bacero. Dearest brother of Marilyn B. Abuso, Edgar A. Bacero, Richard A. Bacero, Catherine B. Barrios (Franklin), Federico A. Bacero, and Mary Jean A. Digo. Mario is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His greatest joy came from spending time with family and bringing people together. He could often be found having lively discussions over a bottle of wine, blending cocktails at parties, hiking in the woods, or sharing an ice cream after working in his garden.
Mario was deeply loved and will be remembered for his generosity, humor, and love for his family.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 31, 2025 from 3-8 pm with a Rosary reading at 7 pm at Neely-Turowski Funeral Home, 30200 Five Mile Rd., Livonia, Michigan 48154. Instate will be on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 10 am until time of Mass at 10:30 am at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 11441 Hubbard, Livonia, Michigan 48150. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Memorial Gardens, Livonia, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
