Margaret L. Gehringer

Margaret Louise Gehringer peacefully passed away on July 5, 2024, in Canton, MI. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Sebastian Gehringer and Harriet Jones.

Loving sister of Robert (the late Roseanne) Gehringer. Cherished sister-in-law of Barbara Gehringer. Margaret is proceeded in death by her siblings John “Jack” (Jackie) Gehringer, Charlie (Valerie) Gehringer, Thomas Gehringer and Patricia (Daniel) Solodon.

Margaret, a devoted member of her community, was known for her passion for sewing and her active participation in church activities. Margaret was very proud to work for Hudson’s department stores for 46 years. She was also known to enjoy a good game show on TV! She shared a special connection with her family, including her niece, Patricia Piatek. Margaret's family ties also held historical significance, as she was related to the esteemed Hall of Famers, Charlie Gehringer of the Detroit Tigers and John Smoltz of the Atlanta Braves.

Margaret's life was full of love, kindness, and dedication to her loved ones. She is survived by many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Margaret Louise Gehringer left behind a legacy of warmth and compassion that will be cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. May she rest in peace.

Visitation will take place Saturday July 13, 2024, at 10:00am until time of funeral service at 11:00am at Neely-Turowski Funeral Home 45100 Warren Rd, Canton, MI 48185.
