Louis A. Scheich, Jr.

Louis A. Scheich Jr., of Livonia, passed away May 24, 2023 at 99 years of age. He was born September 4, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan to Louis and Ernestine Scheich Sr. Louis proudly served in World War II in the US Army. He also worked as a truck mechanic for the Detroit Fire Department for more than 30 years. Beloved husband of the late Stella. Loving father of John (Judy) Scheich, Doris (the late George) Milai, Marian (the late Walter) Zaremba, Pauline (the late Fred) Rini, Rick (Carol) Scheich, and Steve (Kim) Scheich. Dearest grandfather of 14 and great-grandfather of 20. Dear brother of Judy (Jim) Stein. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings Richard J. Scheich, Carol (Charles) Persons, Donald (Marianne) Scheich, Gerald Scheich, and Janet (Pat) Laporte. Visitation Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 3-8 pm with a Rosary at 7 pm at Neely-Turowski Funeral Home, 30200 Five Mile Rd., Livonia, Michigan 48154. Instate Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 10 am until time of Mass at 10:30 am at St. Genevieve – St. Maurice Catholic Church, 29015 Jamison St, Livonia, MI 48154. Military Honors to follow mass. Interment will take place privately at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Detroit, Michigan.
