Kathy M. Jobbitt, of Canton, sadly passed on March 8, 2026. She was born January 24, 1948, to Charles and Genevieve (Peters) Dunn.

A beautiful soul, inside and out, Kathy was always one to give her unconditional support and effort in all she did. Always willing to help others, her generosity didn’t go unnoticed, and all strangers became friends, who ultimately became second family to Kathy.

Kathy met her future husband, Terry, at Western Michigan University, and it was a match made in heaven. Terry couldn’t have asked for a better wife, and in the 3 years they dated, and 54 years they were married, Terry and Kathy never had a fight. A wonderful cook and homemaker, everyone loved spending time at Kathy and Terry’s home; her smile brightened the room, and she had a knack for always making everyone feel welcome.

Kathy went to WMU for teaching, and she truly found her calling in that role. She was an educator for 37 years, but Kathy was also more than her career. An avid traveler (having traveled to 47 states, and 5 Canadian Provinces), a lover of everything Christmas, and, luckily for Terry, a fan of Hockey as well, she truly enjoyed all things in life and made the most of it.

Loving wife to Terry Jobbitt; Dear sister to Karen Collins, Debbie (Warren) Becker, and Sue (Gary) Leadford; and wonderful aunt to many nieces and a nephew, Kathy will be dearly missed by her friends and family.

Kathy is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Genevieve Dunn.

Visitation for Kathy will take place Monday, March 16, from 3:00 – 8:00PM, at Neely-Turowski Funeral Home, 45100 Warren Road, Canton, MI 48187.

Instate, Tuesday, March 17, 2026 11:00AM until the time of Mass at 11:30AM, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 44800 Warren Rd., Canton, MI 48187.
