Justine Joan “Tish” (Goclowski) Greff, age 83, died peacefully in her sleep on May 15, 2021. She was born November 5, 1937, to Edward and Helen Goclowski in Altoona, Pennsylvania, the oldest of nine children. Growing up in the Polish community of Hamtramck, Michigan, she attended St. Florian Grade School and Felician Academy high school. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Madonna College, majoring in Medical Technology. Tish and Thomas Greff were married in 1959 and were blessed with 5 children, all of whom she dearly loved. Her son Joey, who died at age four, was always in her heart. Tish worked throughout the years as a Medical Technician, in systems at Production Rubber, and in later years as a medical transcriptionist. Tish was an avid golfer and a loyal and enthusiastic sports fan especially of the Detroit Tigers and Michigan football. Her children all have fond memories of attending Tiger games, or watching baseball on TV from the comfort of her lap. Not only did she have a passion for sports, Tish enjoyed playing pinochle as well as handicrafts like cross stitch and knitting. She enjoyed going to the movies often. A loving, and giving woman, Tish had a wry sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with her large extended family and many friends. A woman of strong faith, her Catholic background was important to her, and although she couldn’t always attend services in her later years, she knew she could and did always pray. Beloved mother of Michelle (Michael) Komer, Paul (Rachel) Greff, Thomas (Colleen) Greff, the late Joseph Greff, and Matthew (Rene) Greff. Loving grandmother of Stephen (Sarah) Komer, Andrew Komer, Kara Komer, Elise Komer, Abigail Greff, Margaret Greff, Benjamin Greff, Joseph (Ashley) Greff, Nicholas (Melissa) Bonello Greff, Allison Greff, and Jaclyn Greff. Dearest great grandmother of Connor, Mackenzie, and Orlando. Dear sister of Robert Goclowski, the late Raymond Goclowski, the late Stanley Goclowski, Felicia Kramer, the late Edward Goclowski, Frances (the late Robert) Eddy, Monica Sudomir, and Elizabeth (the late Donald) Hoffman. Justine is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 3-7 pm with a Scripture service at 7 pm at Neely-Turowski Funeral Home, 30200 Five Mile Rd., Livonia. Instate Monday, May 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. until time of mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Aiden Catholic Church, 17500 Farmington Rd., Livonia. Cremation will follow with burial to take place at a later date at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Detroit, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be directed to C.S. Motts Children's Hospital, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
