Life Story / Obituary
June R. Kimball, was born on June 14, 1925, in Holley, NY, and passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024, in Livonia, MI. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, resilience, and an unwavering love for her family.
June spent her early years growing up between Albion, NY, and Detroit, MI, before settling down in various Michigan towns including Detroit, Garden City, Redford, and ultimately, Livonia. In September of 1949, she tied the knot with her beloved husband, Elmer, with whom she shared countless cherished memories until his passing.
Professionally, June dedicated herself to the Garden City School System, where she worked as a cook and custodian, touching the lives of many with her kindness. When she wasn’t working, she was busy with her passions—quilting and sewing, creating beautiful pieces that her family will treasure forever.
June is survived by her son, Brian Kimball, and daughter, Denise (Harold) Kubitski, as well as her two grandsons, Harold Jr. (Holly) and Gregory Kubitski. She was also the proud grandmother of seven great-grandchildren: Sierra, Dalton, Savannah, Mason, Breana, Liam, and Morrigan, and even a great-great-granddaughter, Elizabeth.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer, her father Ellis Sedore, her mother Lottie Sedore, and her siblings: brothers Ellis and Stewart Sedore, sister Sylvia Conroy, and brother Richard Toner.
A visitation will be held at Neely-Turowski Funeral Home on December 27, 2024, from 3 - 8 pm, where family and friends can come together to celebrate June’s beautiful life. She will be laid to rest in Cadillac West Cemetery, next to her beloved Elmer, ensuring they remain together for eternity.
June will be missed dearly, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
