Joseph T. Potas

The family of Joseph Thaddeus Potas is saddened to announce his passing at the age

of 82 years in Livonia, Michigan. Joseph was born in Detroit on December 18, 1939, to

Mary and Felix Potas. He grew up in Detroit with his four siblings Felix (Phil), Zeno,

Alex and Mary Jane. He is retired from the IAM, Local #698.

Joe loved fishing, hunting, gardening, wood carving and adventuring with Marilyn, his

wife of 40 years - living in Livonia and spending weekends at Goose Lake in Jackson.

In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by his children Michelle (Tim), Ken (Pam), Karen

(Robert), and Bill, as well as four grandchildren - Shane, Joshua, Sierra and Hailey.

Joe is preceded in passing by his parents, Mary and Felix, his daughter Donna, as well

as his brothers Phil and Alex.

The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers. There will be no visitation or funeral

at this time. A memorial will follow in the spring.
