John C. McEviily

Born as the youngest child in his family, he carried the warmth and connections of a large, close-knit upbringing throughout his life. He found his home on Embassy, where he lived and built memories for over 40 years. He was a man who embraced his heritage, deeply valuing his Irish culture and finding joy in the simple, hearty pleasures of life—particularly in the soups and corned beef he learned to master during his time in the reserves.

He had a deep appreciation for the iconic films of John Wayne and the timeless music of John Denver, often sharing his love for both with those around him. He also cherished the memories made during his many trips to the beach, often sharing the sun and sand with his closest friends and family.

His life was marked by his professional endeavors and his genuine love for people. After a career owning Blazos, he transitioned to a life on the road as a courier and driver. He found peace in driving, but more importantly, he found purpose in

the stories and conversations he shared with his passengers, making friends wherever the road took him. When he wasn't behind the wheel, he was happiest near the water, whether boating or fishing, always drawn to the tranquility of the shoreline.

He was a man who knew love and loss. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Paige; his second wife, Juanita; his brother, Walt; and his sister, Mary. He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany; his sons, Sean and Scott; his grandchildren, George, John, Will, Charlotte, Rocco, and Livy; his brother, Pat; and his sister, Eileen; and his child-in-law's Tim Bridges and Brynn Stevenson. His memory will also be cherished by his dear friends Frank, Jeanie, Jim, Adelle, Cheryl, Art, John, and Kay.

His legacy is one of community, simple joys, and a life well-lived. His celebration of life will be comparable to the way he lived: celebrated with family and friends wearing green, listening to Irish music, and telling stories.
