James Henry Butler, Jr.

It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of our beloved father James Henry Butler Jr. of Livonia, Michigan, on November 28, 2022, at the age of 76. He was at home and surrounded by family as he peacefully slipped away. Born in Mishawaka, Indiana, in 1946 and son of pre-deceased James Henry Butler Sr. and Elsa Marie Butler (Hufkens), he honorably served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and retired from long and distinguished career at Yellow Freight Trucking Company. He was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather, and we are heartbroken to lose him. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years Judith Ann Butler (Gramza), two children, William Butler, spouse Karen Butler (Vaughn) and Wendy Butler, spouse Gregory Butler (Ryzki). He was blessed to have eleven grandchildren, Daniel Butler, Zachary Butler, Veronica Butler, Catherine Butler, Christina (Butler) and spouse Mathew Biewer, Rebecca Butler, Isabelle Butler, Emma Butler, Nathan Butler, Nick Butler and Sophia Butler, and one great grandchild, Xavier Biewer.
