Glendon "Glen" Bibbins

Glendon 'Glen' Howard Bibbins, age 85, passed away on July 31st, 2022. Glen was the beloved husband of Shirley, who preceded him in death in 2021. Loving father of Jeffrey Bibbins, Donna (Brion) Scheidel, Pamela (Alec) Savedes, and the late Joseph Lee Hamilton, Jr. Proud grandfather of Alyx, Anthony, Alaina, Lydia, and great-grandfather of Mila. Dear brother of Bruce (Marguerite) Bibbins.

Glen was the first child born to Paul Glendon and Evelyn Florence Bibbins. He was born and raised in the area surrounding Albany, New York. Glen graduated from Syracuse University. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. Glen married his first wife and moved to the Detroit area. Here he had two children (Jeffrey and Donna) and began his career at Chrysler. Glen married his true love, Shirley, in 1976 and they had 45 wonderful years together. When Glen married Shirley he was happy to gain two more children in his life, Pamela and Joseph. Glen continued his career at Chrysler for 32 years and retired at age 54. After his retirement, Glen and Shirley moved to Dandridge, TN for 25 years. Glen was active in his retirement. He was very involved in Land Owners and Users of Douglas Lake (LOUD) and was instrumental in making positive changes regarding lake levels.

At Glen's request, there will be no funeral service. Plans for a virtual memorial are being made by the family to honor Glen.
