Evangeline "Noreen" Marsh

Marsh, Evangeline “Noreen” passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2022. Noreen was the dear wife of the late Richard Marsh, who passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2016. She was also the loving mother of Rich (Maria), Eileen (David) Gioia, Bob (Cyndy), Bill (Sandy) and the late Michael. Noreen was Nana, a.k.a. “Grandma Bagel” to Alex (Genu Zglimbea), Jessica (John) Pettifurd, Julia (Alec Fowler), Nicole, Angela, Harrison Mckay, Madeleine Mckay, Benjamin, Ryan (Rachel), and Joshua.

Shortly after their marriage in 1964, Noreen and Richard built a home in Livonia on Rayburn Street. Together with other new families who moved onto Rayburn, they raised their children in a neighborhood that created lifelong friendships.

Noreen was an active member of the St. Genevieve Rosary Altar Society, and together with her friends spearheaded the Funeral Luncheon Committee for the parish.

Noreen was an avid reader, walker, and crafter. She loved to bake for her family, and had many signature desserts that her family still make today.

Recently, Noreen was a resident at Ashford Ct. in Westland, Michigan. Her Homestead Caregivers were added to her list of friends, and Noreen’s family is very grateful for the love and care that they provided over the past 6 years.

Visitation Monday, November 28, 2022 from 2-8 pm at Neely-Turowski Funeral Home, 30200 Five Mile Rd., Livonia, Michigan 48154. Instate Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 11 am until time of funeral Mass at 11:30 am at St. Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 N. Haggerty Rd., Plymouth, Michigan 48170. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Alzheimer's Association (act.alz.org/donate).
