Doris LaFern McEvoy, 93, of Redford, passed away peacefully while asleep May 11, 2021 in Brighton, MI. Doris was born to the late William Moore Brown and Dorothy Helena Wishart (Pollard) on June 6, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio. Doris married William B. McEvoy II September 6, 1943 and lived in Detroit before buying their forever home in Redford. Their children William B. III (Janine Lawhead), Patrick M. (Lorraine Jendrowski) and the late Debra M. (Reed) enjoyed spending summers at their campground "Camp Woodbury" in Dexter. Upon her husband's untimely death in 1972, she continued to manage the campground and worked very hard to maintain the rental cottages until the year 2000. Doris is preceded in death by her sister, Jeannie LaLonde. Doris was the proud grandmother of Shannon, Nicole, Tammi, Shaun, Shelby, Scott and Blair and great-grandmother of 10 and great great-grandmother of 2. There will be a Committal Service held at 10:45 am, Friday, May 21, 2021 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 25800 W. Ten Mile Road, Southfield, MI 48033.
