Alvin J. Majewski, D.D.S. Age 85. Born February 9, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan. “Doc” of Plymouth, MI, peacefully passed away in his home on July 19, 2024.

Alvin is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Sharilyn Majewski (Fistler), his loving children, Mark (Ginger) Majewski, Nancy (Mark) Kuszczak, and Paul (Darci) Majewski, his sister Janet VanElslander, and three grandchildren, Brooke Kuszczak, Grace and Frank Majewski, and his cherished dog Louie. He was predeceased in death by his parents Frank and Lottie Majewski, his sister Geraldine Gangluff, and his son Gary Majewski.

Al leaves a legacy of love, life, Polish heritage, family, and many friends. He loved to play golf, to watch the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings, and to cheer on his grandchildren at their sporting events. Alvin attended the University of Detroit Jesuit High School, the University of Detroit, and the University of Detroit Dental School. He practiced dentistry in Detroit and Livonia during the course of his more than 54-year career.

He was an officer and dentist for the United States Air Force, being stationed at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey from 1964-1966. He was a past President of the Michigan Medical and Dental Arts Association and a long-standing member of the National Medical Dental Arts Association.

Doc’s family will welcome friends and family on Friday, August 2nd for visitation from 9:30-11am with a Catholic mass beginning at 11am at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 11441 Hubbard Street, Livonia.
