Thankamma Chacko wife of Rev. P. Chacko was born to the late Skariah and Mariamma Kadavil on March 3rd 1932 in Thumpamon, Kerala, India. After her High School education, she completed her theological studies at Bengarapet Bible Seminary, Karnataka. Her marriage was solemnized on February 2, 1959. Along with her husband, she served as an evangelist in the Mar Thoma church in the mission fields of Hoskote, Malaysia, North Karnataka, Palghat, and Kothamangalam. After Rev. P. Chacko’s ordination, they served in the parishes of Pathanamthitta, Mallapally, Kozhencherry, Cherukole, Mallassery, Karipuzha and Edanadu. Since Achen’s retirement from active service in 1996, they moved to the United States to be with their children and have been residing in Farmington Hills, Michigan. As a member of the Detroit Mar Thoma church, she was diligently involved in all church activities. She was a woman of prayer and faith with a deep sense of love and compassion. She will be dearly missed.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. In the future, there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me, but to all those who have loved his appearing.

II Timothy 4: 7-8
