Susan Elizabeth Postajian

Susan Postajian, of Detroit, Michigan, passed away on September 25, 2026, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on May 1, 1956, to Patricia “Pat” Piligian, Susan was lovingly raised by her mother and adoptive father, Roy Piligian.

Susan was the loving daughter of Patricia “Pat” and Roy Piligian; dear sister of Sandra (Leo) Martin and Christopher (Danielle) Piligian; mother of Pete Waters; beloved aunt of Rachael Martin; best friend of Val and Mark; and dear friend to those at Villa at Willow Place. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Aram Postajian.

Susan, known to many as Susie, was a carefree spirit with love in her heart and a deep connection to her Catholic faith. Susie had a witty sense of humor and found joy in all aspects of life. Having spent most of her life in California, she enjoyed time along the coast in Malibu, Santa Barbara, and Balboa Island, as well as visits to Solvang and her favorite place, Disneyland. In her early years, she and Aram enjoyed weekend getaways to Las Vegas, a favorite destination that held special meaning as the place where their marriage began.

In honor of Susie’s love for animals, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Huron Valley in Ann Arbor.

In lieu of a formal funeral or viewing, family and friends are invited to celebrate Susie’s life at a luncheon on October 10, 2026. The location and time will be shared soon.
