Robert "Rob" Passmore

Robert “Rob” Passmore of Livonia, passed away on November 3, 2025 at the age of 66. He was born on February 23, 1959 and was known for his family concession business, Passmore Popcorn; and his catering business, Rob’s Backyard BBQ.

He loved to laugh and joke and especially laugh at his own jokes. He was a true “Jack of all trades”. He could fix just about anything, even if was a little Jerry-rigged. He was a great cook, but only for an army. He was a loyal friend and touched a lot of lives.

Rob is survived by his mother, Verline Passmore; his brother, Danny (Diane) Passmore; his children, Jon (Julia) Passmore, and Lauren (Jake) Sterling; his granddaughter, Parker Sterling; his nieces and nephews, Danny (Shawn), Melissa (Ryan), Eric (Heather), Ryan (Cerissa), Chris, Brandon, Scott, and Bradley; and many great nieces and nephews. Rob is preceded in death by his father, John Passmore, and his sister, April Hines.

A life well-lived, but too short. He will be dearly missed.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 2:00pm until 7:00pm with a memorial service at 4:00PM, Neely-Turowski Funeral Home 30200 Five Mile Rd., Livonia, MI 481854.
