Ricky Von Parks

Ricky Von Parks of Livonia passed away on December 30, 2023 at the age of 72 after a long journey with cancer. He was born June 23, 1951 in Hazard, Kentucky to late Oscar and Kathleen Parks. Beloved husband of the late Sandra Parks. Loving father of Jason (Shannon) Parks. Dearest grandfather of Brennan. Dear brother of Annette (Jim) Drouillard and Dallas (the late Rosemary) Parks. Step-brother of Jerry Ryals, Mack (Sonny) Ryals, and Barbara (the late Dewey) Moore. Dear brother-in-law of Liz Demyan, Annmary Demyan and the late Jim Demyan. Ricky proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was an avid and loyal U of M football, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and Red Wings fan. He loved bowling, fishing and cheering on his granddaughter, Brennan at her volleyball games. Visitation Thursday, January 4, 2023 from 3-8 pm at Neely-Turowski Funeral Home, 30200 Five Mile Rd., Livonia, Michigan 48154. Additional visitation 12 noon until time of funeral service at 1pm on Friday, January 5, 2023 at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
