Richard "Granny" Grandell

Richard Allen Grandell “Granny” of Dearborn Heights passed away February 20, 2023 at the age of 83. He was born October 24, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to Charles and Leone Grandell. Beloved father of Kathryn (the late Dennis) Baringer, Sharon Grandell, Kenneth Grandell, Joseph (Jennie) Grandell, Allen Grandell, and Chad (Katie) Grandell. Loving grandfather of Jesse (Michelle) Blake, Michelle Baxter, Kyle (Ashley) Grandell, Joshua Grandell, Samuel Grandell, Kaylee Grandell, and Daniel Grandell. Dearest great-grandfather of Donovan, Brody, Sebastian, Mitchell, and Jacob. Dear brother of the late Lanny (the late Dianne) Grandell and Barbara (the late James) Naum. Visitation Friday, March 3, 2023 from 3-8 pm at Neely-Turowski Funeral Home, 30200 Five Mile Rd., Livonia, Michigan 48154. Additional visitation Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 12:30 am until time of funeral service at 1:30 pm at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens, Novi, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
