Phyllis F. Bush

Phyllis was born in Detroit, MI to Charles and Margaret (Suchner) Franz and grew up in Detroit. She graduated from Mackenzie High School in 1944. She attended Michigan State University for two years and graduated from Wayne State University where she met her husband, Richard Bush. While married to Richard, she lived in England for a time and was a lifelong anglophile. Phyllis taught for many years in the Detroit Public School system and retired as a librarian at Henry Ford High School. A voracious reader, Phyllis would go through a book a day. After her separation from Richard, Phyllis enjoyed a 43-year companionship with Ed Pugliesi who predeceased her. Phyllis and Ed were fond of dancing and had many friends in the Italian American Club of Livonia. She is survived by her two children, Jeremy and Jennifer, and her brother Harold Franz. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 11 AM, Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, 14175 Farmington Road, Livonia. (see links below)
