Linda Susan Hachigian, of Canton, died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on July 4, 2026. She was born March 6, 1949 in Detroit, to Donald and Rose (Hrebec) Groendal, who both predeceased her.

Loving wife of Harold; Dear mother to Todd (Michelle) and Jamie (Lori) Hachigian; Cherished grandmother of Cameron, Nathan, and Paul (Adrienne); Beloved great-grandmother of Bryce and Callie; Dear sister to Donna (Bob) Chandonnet and Debbie Gress; Loving aunt to Steve and Tom Furtak, and Lindsay Collins; Linda will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

Linda was dedicated foremost to her family, especially her husband, Harold. She had a passion for her community to which she devoted much time, including her service to the church and to the local schools. Linda worked in daycare for over twenty years, but her work there was more than simply a job, it was her vocation as a lifelong caregiver. Although she only had two children, she was a mother to many which she displayed through her selfless love. As a devout Catholic, her commitment to faith and scripture was an identity to her. Throughout her life she maintained a great love for God and The Blessed Virgin Mary, despite hardships, and inspired others to do the same. Linda was a woman admired and loved by all who knew her, and her influence will not be forgotten.

Visitation for Linda will take place on Wednesday, July 8, from 4 PM – 8PM, at Neely-Turowski Funeral Home, 45100 Warren Rd, Canton, MI 48187.

Mass will take place on Thursday, July 9, at 9 AM, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 44800 Warren Rd. Canton, MI 48187.

Interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.

Memorial donations may be made to Capuchin Soup Kitchen of Detroit, and/or to Michigan Humane Society.
