Kathleen Rose Hanson, of Westland, Michigan, passed away on July 1, 2025. She was born on February 13, 1955, to Joseph and Therese (Opalewski) Brogowski.
She is survived by her mother, Therese; her children, Angela (Eric) Zettel and Jonathan (Julie) Hanson; bonus child, Andrew Cassidy; her grandchildren, Thomas, Cassandra, Tessa, Daniel, Abigail, Alexander, and Zachary; siblings, Michelle (Patrick) Kehoe, Joseph (Susan) Brogowski III, Celestine (Neil) Kessler, Stephanie Condron, Claudette Varney, and Anthony Brogowski, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Brogowski, and her sister, Camille Brogowski.
In her younger days, Kathleen loved racing cars up and down Telegraph Road and riding motorcycles, always with a bold and adventurous spirit. Later in life, she found joy in quieter hobbies, enjoying time spent reading, sewing, crocheting baby blankets and Christmas ornaments for loved ones. She was incredibly creative and artistic. Her spinach lasagna and homemade stuffing were family favorites that will be dearly missed during holidays.
Kathleen will be remembered for her strong will, her creativity, and the love she poured into her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
Cremation has already taken place, per her wishes, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
