Judith (Judy) Mary Blaharski, Age 87, passed away peacefully in her home on January 24, 2026, in Livonia, Michigan. She was born on May 7, 1938, in Wayne, Michigan to George and Hazel Russell. She was a devoted wife to the late Donald Blaharski for 62 years, and a loving mother to Robert (Mary) Blaharski, William (Lynette) Blaharski and Donna (Paul) Ambrose. Dearest Grandmother of Joseph (Courtney) Blaharski, Jacob (Jennifer) Blaharski, Julie Blaharski, Jared (Annmarie) Blaharski, Lisa (Keith) Shoemaker, Sara (Richard) Fatyma, and Matthew Robinson. Dear Great Grandmother of Isabella and Delilah Fatyma.

Judy was a wonderful home maker and mother who had a second career as a lead cook for the Head Start program in Livonia Public Schools for over 10 years, where she shared her passion for cooking and her love of children.

Beyond her family and career, she was a truly creative genius sharing her love of crocheting, knitting, wood carving, sewing, needle point, baking, cake decorating, massage therapy, fishing and cooking with friends, family and the community every chance she had. During the COVID pandemic she made it her mission to give knitted dish clothes to each staff member of Green Elementary in the Roseville Community School District.

Judy was a devote Catholic who prayed the rosary daily and attended Mass regularly. One of her services of faith was creating crocheted prayer blankets for the sick. Each stitch she made was a prayer for the person it was intended for.

A Visitation and Memorial Mass will take place on February 9, 2026, at Saint Genevieve-Saint Maurice Catholic Church 29015 Jamison, Livonia, Michigan 48154. Visitation is at 10:30AM, followed by Mass at 11:00AM. A luncheon and celebration of life will be held in the Father Wolber Activity Center directly following the Mass. Judy will be interned at Michigan Memorial Gardens in Flatrock, Michigan.
