John E. Kratsas

John Emanual Kratsas passed away May 11, 2024 at the age of 91. He was born September 8, 1932 in Ikaria, Greece to Manolies and Anna (Lafas) Kratsas. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Violet (Holton) Kratsas. John is survived by his grandchildren Paul (Maria) Gardner and Violet; his great-grandchildren Theodora, Helen, Scott, Adam, Makayla, Alexandria, Ryan, Rio, Ava, Carlie, and John John; his niece Theodora and nephew Sotris. John proudly served in the US Navy from 1952 to 1956. He enjoyed watching football and telling stories to his family. Visitation Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 3pm – 8pm with a Trisagion at 6 pm at Neely-Turowski Funeral Home, 30200 Five Mile Rd., Livonia, Michigan 48154. Instate Monday, May 20, 2024, from 10:30 am until time of funeral service at 11 am at Nativity of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 39851 Five Mile Rd., Plymouth, Michigan 48170 with Fr. Nick Marcus officiating. Interment will follow at Parkview Memorial Cemetery, Livonia, Michigan.
