John A. Gasior, Jr.

John Albert Gasior Jr. of Livonia passed away on December 18, 2022. John was born on October 24, 1938, in Detroit Michigan to the late Mary and John Gasior Sr. John Graduated from Fordson High school in 1956 and immediately joined the United States Army. John served 3 years as a part of the Army Corps of Engineers, 45th Engineer battalion in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Following his time in the Army, John worked as assistant Chief Engineer at Centri-Spray/ Dürr Automotion Corporation for many years. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Carol; Loving father of John M. (Tammy), David (Sandy), and the late Rebecca. Adored grandfather of David Jr., Cecelia (Derek), and Michael (Heather); Cherished great-grandfather of Harper and Charlotte; Proud brother of the late Janet Board and James (Bernadette). John was very devoted to his church, St. Colette Catholic Church in Livonia. He was very active as an usher and in the Men’s Club. In his spare time, John could be found bowling, golfing, and spending time watching his grandchildren’s hockey games. John was loved by many and will be missed deeply. The family will accept visitors on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 2pm until 8pm with a vigil service at 7pm. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at St. Colette’s Catholic Church, 17600 Newburgh Rd, Livonia, MI 48152 instate 9:30am until the time of mass 10:00am.
