C. Howard Wendel, age 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by family October 25, 2016. Loving husband of 50 years to Patricia (nee Willmarth). Beloved father of Darren A. (Carrie), Wendy S. Kwapis (Steve), and Christian A. (Aimee). Cherished grandfather of Meghan, Mallory, Madelyn, Reagan, and Dylan and great grandfather of Cade. Family will receive friends Thursday from 4-8pm and Friday from 12-8pm at Neely Turowski Funeral Home 30200 Five Mile (Between Middlebelt and Merriman), where a service will be held Saturday 11am. Friends may gather beginning at 10am. Donations can be made to the Vietnam Veterans Association at VVA.org.
