ANTHONY “TONY” MICHAEL KOTERBA

Age 71, passed away on July 19, 2021 after complications due to covid pneumonia. He was the

husband of the late Cathy Nihill Koterba, and is survived by his sons Anthony and Andrew and

grandson Grayson Anthony.

Son of the late John B. and Helen Koterba, Brother of Sr. Mary Rebecca Koterba, RSM, MD;

Mary Ann Estigoy (Mike); and Barbara Dobric (Mike). Godfather of Johnny Dobric, J. Dwarski,

Renee Gordon and Rebecca Cholewa; Uncle of Veronica Estigoy and Tara Dobric.

Tony grew up in Detroit, attended St. Christopher grade school, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Prep

High School, ‘68, and received his MBA from the University of Detroit in Finance and

Accounting.

Tony started his career at Ford Motor Company where he worked for 32 years and retired as a

Ford executive in Logistics. He later went on to Hollingsworth Logistics Group where he

became Executive Vice President of Operations. In 2013, Tony became the first lay Vice-

Chancellor at his beloved OLSM alma mater. He received the “Lifetime of Giving” Award in

2014, in gratitude for his service at OLSM.

He was an avid golf enthusiast and enjoyed his membership at the Western Golf and Country

Club since 2001. For the past two years, Tony was honored to serve as President of WGCC.

Tony was a member of Resurrection Parish in Plymouth where he was an usher, Eucharistic

Minister and also served as the Board’s financial advisor.

Tony’s achievements and lifetime of generous giving of his time, talents, and treasures are too

numerous to list, yet are known to all the individuals whose lives he deeply touched.

Anthony will be remembered forever in our hearts as a true man of deep faith and prayer, and

our beloved dad, brother, godfather, uncle, and friend.

Tony’s funeral service will be on Saturday, July 24, at 10:30am at St. John Neumann Catholic

Church in Canton. Instate at 10am.

Visitation is on Thursday, July 22, 4-8pm and Friday, July 23, 2-8pm. Rosary will be on Friday
